This (along with "All/Unread" and "By X" sort/filter controls) THAT I NEVER USE wastes four lines of message list in my configuration and impedes with my use of other features by moving them farther from window/screen boundaries.
This is even more DESTRUCTIVE of my productivity than the misbegotten "Focused Inbox" that hides BUSINESS-CRITICAL messages based on undocumented, "voodoo" criteria invented by idiots or machines.
One of the oldest GUI design principles is to keep features near screen (or, if "sticky" when crossing out of the bounding box) window boundaries; yet Microsoft seems to keep letting neophytes redesign user interfaces to the detriment of customers so they can have pretty-looking bells and whistles. Office productivity suites are generally used to COMMUNICATE, not to gawk at the pretty computer display.
FOCUS on FUNCTION, not window-dressing, PLEASE!Anonymous supported this idea ·
