I switched from local Exchange to MS cloud. Support said to use a shared mailbox for people to move company email that related to different projects. There was a folder for each project, and a subfolder with sensitive info. With Public Folders, I could set permissions on the subfolder to restrict access. In the shared mail box that was not possible. I had to revert to Public Folders.

I switched from local Exchange to the MS cloud. I was told to create a shared email account to hold community items like client Contacts and an office Calendar that used to be in a Public Folder. Everyone can see and search the Contacts, but they cannot set them as an Outlook Address Book. That is a huge failure. The workaround from O365 was to move them to my GAL. Comingling the data is a really bad idea. I am back to Public Folders now.

The idea is to be able to set the Contacts folder in a shared email account as an Outlook Address Book.
