Enable the option to see by default only the latest e-mail (top most in the thread according the user selected sorting criteria, i.e. the most recently received) expanded while maintaining the other ones of the thread collapsed. If the user selects another message, two options available: 1) the message that was exploited before is then collapsed and the newly selected message is expanded, to fully read the body. 2) the newly selected message exploits and both the first and the new message are both exploited to read the full body. In this option a "..." option button aside the first lines of each messages (the # of rows to display is an user group by thread option) enables to collapse/expand the selected e-mail message

The current Outlook for Android sorting for e-mails of the same thread is the top most is the oldest e-mail, the most recent in the thread being at the bottom, and you need to scroll down all the thread to read it. I've the most recent top most in my Windows Phone 10 Lumia 640 XL
