The Apple default mail app allows you to minimise an email you are writing to go and check other emails. You cannot do this on outlook. This is a really useful feature as it allows you to reference another email while writing an email.

At the moment, the notification only shows the emails that are in the Outlook inbox rather than what is in the total inbox (i.e. it won’t count emails not downloaded). This is frustrating as emails I have previously downloaded into the inbox disappear. The Apple mail client allows all emails once downloaded to stay in the inbox. Likewise, the notification counter works correctly.
Also, at the moment, I cannot ask Outlook to only count the messages in one inbox. If I have multiple mail inboxes, it shows the total across all of them.
Both of these features are available in the Apple mail client.
If you fixed these, I would use Outlook only, but I have to still use the Apple mail client because you don’t allow it.
