After four years of misery, and believing that it must be me, you have now solved it. I asked MS Outlook staff back then, they did not understand the question, so I said `send me an email so that I can read it on my desktop, because it will not show on my phone, just the `empty in-box' message. Sorry they said, Outlook cannot send you an e-mail. Can you believe it! And by switching off the `focussed inbox' toggle, I can make that decision myself. Oh Happy Day! All thanks to Mr Anonymous, definitely no mous, by whatever name! Brian

Hi - I assumed this was just me, but clearly others have the annoying message `All done for the day' meaning that incoming emails on my Android have been squirrelled away without my having a chance to read them. It happens less when I am well away from my own WiFi, so an interim thought was that the messages were going via WiFi to my hard disk, but if so there is a buffer when I am on a short journey. I raised it with Outlook on several occasions, but for obvious reasons only when I was well away from base. Any reply that came was instantly squirrelled, so I said why not send me an e-mail that I can deal with on my desktop? Oh no, they said, Outlook cannot send an e-mail - yes, honestly!

Maybe I am not unique, if so can someone point me to a live conversation on this issue. Brian
