it would be very useful to generate a connection between contacts and calendar so notes can be stored under contacts and pop up in the calendar on specified dates. that way contacts specific projects are organized under the correct contact and automatically transfer to the calendar on specified dates for follow up
We highly appreciate your feedback you’ve given us about this feature. Good news: We’re close to releasing it on Android. You can get a sneak preview here: https://blogs.office.com/2017/06/05/improving-people-in-outlook-for-ios-and-android/
Thanks for your patience as we make the final touches!
All the best

contacts cannot be edited using Android platform, I have had to use another app to make changes on the Fly and it adds to duplicating contacts greatly which is a serious problem in Outlook.
contact editing from a mobile device platform is essential. also two-way synchronization shouldn't be that difficult either. currently Outlook is unable to perform this which given the lack of editing is probably wise
most of the contact apps I use have a field that can be filled by the user with anything they choose, it's usually labeled as 'notes' and is great for dumping info to be acted on later.
when searching for a contact, I'm forced to scroll manually to where ever in the alphabet the person is. most apps have a slider bar on the side to make getting to the bottom faster. and no, I don't like to use the search feature every time I need a contact.
sometimes Outlook combines old with new and I don't catch it, end up sending strange out of context info to unconnected recipients.

being able to open individual elements like calendar or contacts would speed up access to that data and reduce the thumb work

Without using the search feature.
Hello! Thanks for the idea and votes! We do plan to add more views, stay tuned.
I want to see a whole month at a time laid out like a wall calendar, more intuitive and less scrolling.
