Possible workaround? Select a message → Move to → Move to a different folder... → Here is the expanded list of all the folders. You can also Ctrl+F it.

SOLUTION to search only inbox:
Settings → View All Outlook Settings → General → Search(Shortcut: https://outlook.office.com/mail/options/general/search )
→ Section: Search Results → Turn off checkbox: Include all folders while searching in Inbox

WORKAROUND: You can find your flagged items in TO-DO and mark them complete there.
CAVEAT: new version of TO-DO doesn't seem to contain flagged items. So switch to old version first: toggle button on top right (next to Sort), labeled "The new Outlook".

WORKAROUND I found: Change the subject title before you send it. It will go into a separate conversation.
(Found it the hard way when people would "update" email subjects and I would no longer see their replies in the original conversations)

Similarly to [https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/907141/suggestions/36353299],
trying to select multiple messages IN A CONVERSATION, I would like the functionality to:
• Ctrl+Click anywhere (not just the check box) on a message in a conversation to add it to current selection. Currently it deselects everything and collapses the conversation.
• Shift+Click anywhere (not just checkbox) on a message in a conversation to add it and everything in between to current selection. Currently it selects it and ALL messages below it in the entire folder.
Thank you! -

I keep losing my spot in the list every time I expand/collapse a folder.
Not a high priority relatively, but a nice-to-have-fixed.
