4 yrs on since I first commented on this and the rules system still hasn't been implemented into the app.
Having to go to the slow web version is a very labour intensive, time consuming task for something that everybody uses and should have been in the app long before now!!!Ashley Dunscombe-Isaac supported this idea ·

I have been waiting for rules to be brought in since the app was first released! Nearly 3yrs! This is way to long for a company like Outlook/Microsoft to put off a feature that many people have previously asked for.
I would like to be able to create rules and also have the option to edit/delete existing rules that were previously set up in the old version of the website before that was changed to the point of unusable.
I don't want them to work any differently or to have to be set up any differently than they are now.
I would just like the rules function in the app.
The idea of the app is to save you going through the website to apparently make your life easier but it's doesn't because you still have to go to the website for basic stuff. An error occurred while saving the comment Ashley Dunscombe-Isaac commented
this hasn't been completed so why has this and many others like it been closed as completed?

Please can the option to edit/delete existing rules on an account and create new ones be added to the app.
This should have been added to the app a long, long time ago.An error occurred while saving the comment Ashley Dunscombe-Isaac commented

please give us access to edit or even remove entries from the autocomplete options when starting a new email.
it's crazy that we can't already remove emails from it that are incorrect. -

please can you also add a one time pop up feature so it tells you what's updated in the update just received

please can the development team be more specific as to what's actually been updated/add in the "what's new" section of pay store of just saying bug fixes and performance improvements

download all mail to device like old app instead of a month.
create/edit/remove contacts.
save attachments to device.
outbox is needed.
mark as junk and not junk.
ability to send email from alias that's been setup.
when features are added mark them as implemented in feedback section.
basically the app should do exactly what the website does is not user friend on mobile devices. -
