I agree that this would be a great feature. Not sure why it is not currently available since the ability to do this has been available in other products for some time now. Need to catch up to the pack Mac Outlook team!!

I was surprised by the MS comment that this feature was not part of their goals. Wake up MS, its not about your goals its about our goals, users of the product.

The "step" feature in Tasks is available on the online version so even if you don't want to be compatible with the Windows version, you should be aligned with the cloud version. Is this not the goal of Microsoft, getting users to move to the cloud?

There are times when the office for Mac support group is somewhat out of touch with product customers.

I agree this is sorely lacking in Outlook and should be added. The To Do list should include items from all calendars configured in Outlook along with the color scheme set. It's interesting that this feature has been available in Thunderbird for some time, which is a free software.

As is typical, MS is behind the curve of needed features and tends to focus on only what they think is important. Sorry for being critical but after decades of using MS software, both on PC and Mac, their approach has not changed.

Bumped in to this forum today as I once again attempted to move to outlook for mac (2016) and once again, need to abandon the effort.

I have been trying to move completely to office for mac however, there is always something left out that makes the product inconsistent with the windows edition. I accepted the lack of features in days gone by when office for mac was not that popular.

However mac computers are gaining in the office productivity sector and still this bloody office for mac product continues to disappoint and lack simple features like the to-do-bar and the infamous "missing outbox".

Its unfortunate that the MS team for office for mac still views the product as a novelty item and does not take it seriously. If the team refuses to keep the product viable for business, then perhaps it should simply be discontinued.

My remedy is Thunderbird and reverting to the office suite on windows. Pity.
