    @Jim Forman: it IS now optional for users.

    There is now an option in:

    Settings -> Premium -> Security -> Advanced security -> "Outlook.com provides real-time protection against links that point to phishing scams and viruses. You can turn off this protection (not recommended)."

    I will opt-out Otlook completely and look elsewhere if this option doesn't exist very soon.

    I totally agree.

    Also, all mail folders are expanded by default when logging in and/or shifts to another folder or visit e.g Calendar and back.

    Save the chosen selection of what folders are expanded and not.

    Maybe this belongs to an another suggestion, if so; let me know and I will make one...
