    Help....
I did not get any response related to imports and having duplicates.

I am following these guide lines:

7.Choose Next and select how you want to handle duplicate entries.

We identify an entry as being a duplicate based on the following:

Business contacts are identified as duplicate if they contain the same email.

Companies are identified as duplicate if they contain the same name.

Deals are identified as duplicate if they contain the same name.

I now have 6 deals with the exact same name. Even when I make no changes, and selected update duplicates with imported data; it still created a new deal

Same for Contacts. I have not tried company yet

What are or is the KEY or ID; fields for Contacts, Companies, Deal - wherein the system (OCM) searches and looks to find "Duplicate" fields?

    Contacts:
    (I was lead to believe that it is the email address;
However, what if their is not email address)
    Solution:
I would suggest that you have it look at 4 fields: 1st Email address, 2nd Last Name, 3rd First Name, and 4 Job Title.
    - Using the Job Title; enables the system for provide a search for dups when no email, and no company, nor a last Name would be present. Example: Steve (First Name) and Sales Rep at Brauns (Job Title) provided for this option. Again, Email is great, followed with First and Last, but there are many Steve Jones's. But Less Steve Jones, Sales Rep at Brauns. (A great 5th: would be mobile phone / which is often singular like an email address)

Deals: It is my understanding that the Dup search looks to the "Deal Name" field - which is perfect. However, for some reason it is still creating dups.
    Test: Deal 1, Deal 2, Deal 3, Deal 4.
I exported and imports Deal with only a deal name.
    ---- on the import back 1.... I now had 2 of each deal 1, 2, 3, 4
------ on import two, it again gave me a set of deal 1, 2, 3, 4... Thus duping again.
??? Are deals looking for another field for dups, such as Contacts, and Company? If so, this could become a hardship as deal grow and change, as people more and companies change names. Inc, LLC, with an "4"

Solution for Deals, should key on the create date, and the Deal's Name.

Users and export due their needed updates and changes, but must leave the Deal Name alone. This also requires being allow to import and export this "Create Date" deal field. It should be auto generated as the deal is created, but should also be free or open to be updated.

Companies: to date I don't know what the Dup rule is: The Name is the Name. I think that is how it should be. Company 1 LLC is different than Company"," 1 "," LLC or what ever it is.

Please confirm what the Rule Area, and please give my above suggestion some consideration.

OCM - appears to be a beautiful and amazing tool; but the Rule need to be designed, structured, and offered to the User as clearly and as timing as possible.

    Please Help! Thank You

If you have added 25 data tracking fields, and you do offer this new Multi-Select option; how could you use it as you currently can not delete or have not than the 25 current and deleted field added columns?

First thank you and sorry for the inconvenience. Can you give more detail on what is not working? Is it not finding the companies that you are looking for?

It is working better, any you appear to only get 3 selection options.

    I just tried: Transwestern

They are a commercial real estate company. three options came up, all the same name. One with an address.

The did the same thing with CBRE

and a Local Company By Your Side, LLC. I notices that the selection and results are case sensitive.

It would be nicer to have a broader selection or options and the ability to see more details of the Bing Offering

The Bing Search, unfortunately is not like a "Google" search; if you will. The Results that come back are very limiting. I suggest link it to you LinkedIn Company data findings or even a more of a web company bowers approach.

Also, bringing the contacts linking and visual from LinkedIn would be helpful as a user of both.

I would think you could filter on the Note field; and select "field is Empty" or Not Empty

I don't think you want nor show have another contacts folder. Only the distinction or understanding that is a Business Contact.

Suggestion: When a contact is labeled wit the Business Contact Bar and or the Shared Bar. A non editable or removal able Category "Label" stating this should occur.

If and when the user, changes the bar (on or off) in the OCM, this would be the only why to remove the Contact Category Label in Outlook Contacts.

    - if possible, also allow this Categories and Contact to be viewed and movable within and between Outlook Contact, Sub or Other Contact Folders.

    Please Do this!!!!

You cannot delete default columns. You can add new columns (see add new columns in each list). We will look into adding phone numbers to the default columns. Also you can move columns with drag and drop, so you can move Shared with to the end, if you want to.

How can we arrange column lists, as you only get 25. To change them would need to delete them all, currently. Any thoughts.

Also, the order I have column in the desk top OCM is not the same order that is shown in the IPhone OCM app. Why is that?

How many added columns are allowed in deals and then companies and then contacts ?

In the deal section where the company selection is required.

As becomes a standalone field not associated with any specific contact. My suggestion would be to call that the customer or product or focus link.

For myself I work in commercial real estate and I am using the company travel deals to associate the deal location for the building address such as 1375 East Woodfield Rd.

That showing me all the details related to that specific product or building.

In the same token if I was working with a broker or general contractor related to product sale I would defer to the companies use as the end-user for the cell to customer.

Having a company or customer type would BA improved and use for field.

I replied here because the standalone offering of this company/customer field and it’s not in relation to a contact specificity, I believe is a very good thing

As you select update a contact in outlook contacts it would be nice to have carryover of field such as department , profession , Office location , Job title , And a stretch but if possible any user-defined fields where they could actually be more accessible and useful as they get buried in standard outlet
