    I dont see this as requirement to search all folders by default. When you once set the search to search all folders it will do that until you close outlook. I dont see a reason to change current behavior.

    @David Ferbr - have you tried to just drag and drop a attached file from an email to the evernote icon? For me this does the trick and works fine. if you drag and drop it opens a new note in evernote. If you like, you than can move the file to an already open note if you have already started to create one.
