I am no longer able to create sweep rules that delete old messages from certain folders. In an older version of Outlook, I was able to specifically create a rule that, for example, would delete all messages older than 30 days from my Ads folder. Some time ago, however, that functionality seems to be removed. After doing some searching, I read that only administrators can create those sorts of rules using retention policies; the end user is only allowed a few basic functions using the sweep toolbar.
Please return complex sweep functionality to the end user. Removing useful features and reserving them for administrators just makes everyone's life more difficult. Thanks.
