The Admin's comment on this: "Delaying the sending of emails is something we absolutely want to enable in the new Outlook.com. Be on the lookout for …"

This response troubles me. Both here and in messages to me via "support," I get the impression that Microsoft Beta customer service staff are misunderstanding what people are actually referring to in this thread. I have the impression from their wording that they are thinking instead of the "send later" feature (not sure what it's called), where you can compose a message on Monday, and then use a setting to get it to send on, say, Wednesday.

The feature that concerns me and others here is the one that is laterally called "cancel send," in which your draft, once you hit "send," hangs out in the "drafts" folder, while you watch a little bar in the upper right corner of the screen crawl slowly move across as the message gradually sends. The timing varies, but usually it is about 30 seconds.

I'm drawing this distinction because I fear the Beta people will neglect to save "cancel send" if they think it is the OTHER feature, where you literally schedule a different day or hour to send your email.

The "Cancel send" button from the classic version does not exist in the Beta version. Taking this button away is absurd. It is a cut in service. Being able to notice a typo or a forgotten email address when there are multiple recipients is an essential business feature. It was not a luxury, it is quality control.

Yes, why use involuntary guinea pigs? Why not recruit Beta testers who are willing to volunteer? I use my email for my business. The new version does not even allow deletions without a lag time and a need to move the pointer after each deletion. Programming must be harder than most of us think. But if that's the case, why not delay your rollout??? Please notice that close to 100% of the comments are complaints, not praise.
