I don't know who merged "Outlook for iOS
'Re-instate access to Family Calendar in all clients" into this mobile one, but it's now incorrect. The issue is not restricted to iOS; the bigger issue is the total loss of Family Calendar from the Outlook desktop client.

I'm now really cross about 2 things.

With the recent update the previously limited but acceptable Family Calendar has been significantly degraded. It is no longer available at all in the Outlook desktop client and there has been disruption to the mobile experience.

Not being able to use this Family Calendar in other applications makes it almost useless. Since I can't show my other (business) calendars in Outlook.com it creates an effectively isolated calendar that fails to meet real-world requirements.

As a matter of urgency, ensure that there is an approach to Family Calendars meets real-world needs and that support for the desktop Outlook (2019/ProPlus) client is given highest priority

It's not an iPhone issue, it affects the majority of users, who are on other OSes.
It's for annoying and rituals broken or ability to manage our complex personal lives

Just the same things the community has been requesting for the last year.
Not being able to review calendar items while editing email is rubbish.
The new email experience, where the reply is at the bottom, is rubbish.
An impressively arrogant way to ruin a usable product.

Previously, not only could we browser the list of contacts but a contact search additional fields.
Since the 'improved' UI we have lost both these features. It is now impossible to find contacts within Outlook mobile where there is no individual name (e.g. because it is the generic company address or switchboard) or where you can't remember the name of the contact

Since the removal of a separate Contact section/app it is now impossible to find companies or other contacts where there is no person name. This is a HUGE us for corporate use

The Outlook client is badly broken for real world use, where we need to check out diaries in order to try to an email. The is no mechanism to have both open, unlike in every other version of Outlook.

The Outlook team is working on this update. We will add support for adding and updating events on family calendars as part of an overall improvement to shared calendars in Outlook.

We will post a subsequent status update when the shared calendar improvements are available for you to use in Outlook. Our current ETA is to begin releasing to subscription customers who are using Outlook 2016 this summer (July 2018).

Currently the Sync is read only - it is not possible to add or update calendar items in the Family Calendar from Outlook 2016. This really needs fixing as it's our main shared calendar
