Currently when you move an email to a folder. You show the entire folder list. Including expanding all of the children. of the folder If you are someone who heavily searched your emails into folders. You start to accrue a lot of folders. including folders in folders So finding a folder that you specifically want to put that email into. Requires substantial effort as you scroll endlessly through the expanded folder list trying to find this folder.

when you select move to folder or in general when you're viewing the folders. Having a search bar. That wouldn't be able you to search the folder list for. the folder in question would be ideal. perfect in this issue
is super nice to have feature, but no way required Would then be to do some day I on the folder list to see if you could determine where I would want to put it perhaps pulling in the top three folders that this would logically go into. Pinterest does a great job at this when you're pinning image into a board.
