When moving email messages out of the inbox to a folder and using the keyboard, the user can type the first few letters of the folder name to locate the destination folder. However sub-folders are not found using this method. The user must first find the parent folder, right-arrow to expand it, and then type some more of the folder name. This is quite tedious.
The Windows version of Outlook should work like the Mac version, i.e. no matter whether the folder tree is expanded or collapsed, typing a search string should locate the sub-folder.
