Since the most recent changes to Outlook the whole thing seems to have become a complete mess, with spam messages, "other" messages and genuine emails from contacts appearing at random according to your rather than my system. Every day Skype tells me I have an unread message although I have not downloaded Skype onto my computer. After years of happiness with hotmail/Outlook I am finally considering the move to gmail. Of course I'll get no response. There never is any. We're only the users, after all.

Oh great, another "improvement" that is nothing of the sort! In the past before we blocked spam items we saw ALL the addresses so we could be sure they were all genuinely spam. Now we get "X, Y & 4 others" etc, meaning that we could accidentally block genuine addresses. Why don't you ever check with real users before making these changes? Not geeks in a back office but those of us who actually use the service.
