    The only way I have found to reliably get ink in an Outlook message is to type pen or ink into the "Tell me what you want to do" box on the ribbon. However I cannot find a way to turn off ink mode. Even if I try to go to mouse mode, then the mouse still acts as a pen.
    The Windows 10 activity centre doesn't register this as "tablet mode" . so you can't switch out of it.
    To exit ink mode, I exit the message(saving as draft) and then re-open it to get back to desktop mode.
