An email should have an option to click Mark as Phishing AND Mark as Spam WITHOUT opening the email
Then your website should block them for all users
You are only given the option to mark email as spam on the main inbox page.
Currently you have to mark it as spam first, then it is moved into the junk folder, so you have to go into the Junk email folder and open the email before you can mark it as a phishing email. That is wrong, we should be able to Mark it as Phishing from the Inbox page, not only the Junk mail folder.
The problem today...
If you know a link is phishing or malicious it is dangerous to open the email. So we cannot report it as phishing without potentially downloading a virus when the email is opened.
Outlook should stop the forwarding of an email that contains a known phishing link. e.g. Outlook should scan the links of a newly composed email when you click send or forward an email it should reject the email because it contains a scam link.
This will stop the spread of spam email from hacked accounts at the point of sending.
Thanks for your feedback. We’ll take this recommendation into consideration as we work on our new print experience for the beta.Mr shared this idea ·
