No one wants to navigate to the bottom of a thread to get the latest response. Either make this an option or make it the default as god intended.

Currently, Outlook displays a thread starting at the top with the original email with follow up items below. Just about every other email application does the opposite, displaying the most recent item first.
It would be good if this was an option. -

Ability to sort contacts by last name, then first name, then middle initial/name. The way god intended.

Sort should always be by Last Name, then First Name, then middle initial. Was the telephone book organized by first name (OK other than in Iceland).
I worked at a University that set things up by first name because it seemed more collegial when there were not so many people using computers and email. Grow that list to many thousands and it is a complete nightmare.
Sort by last name, always. -

Why don't events have more fields? You are dumbing down the product.

Thanks for your feedback on the Outlook.com beta! We are considering this and will reply back when we have an update.

Outlook.com Calendar should allow a user to create an event or meeting from an email that has been received. The event/meeting should have a Notes field that contains the body of the email.

Many emails are in essence, a request to meet, or a request that one does something, or something one would like to be reminded of. It would be great if there was a quick option to create a calendar item with the text of the email included.
It can easily be done in Outlook 2016 by dragging an email to the calendar.John Kraeck supported this idea ·

The old version of Outlook.com allowed one to forward to all as a meeting request. The beta does not. This is a step backward.
Better would be the option to create an event, task or meeting from an email. This is a real world scenario that people go through every day...someone sends you an email, and you need to do something or schedule something.
When I open a threaded message, I want to see the latest message at the top. If I need to get context I can scroll down through time. This is how God intended threaded messages.
It is unnatural and unnecessary to expand the whole thread and move to the bottom, especially on the smaller screen of a mobile device.
At a minimum, this should be a user setting.
