Why the heck are messages getting 'ignored'? This never happened with the old version of Hotmail. Who's brainchild at Microsoft was that? What a random, and super annoying feature to come up with! It truly boggles my mind. How about letting ME decide the fate of an e-mail message. I keep finding valid e-mails in my deleted folder. Both personal, and from organizations. I shouldn't have to check my deleted folder daily to see if there's a legit e-mail in there. Also, I think allowing people to add photos with their feedback would be a bonus, so I could show you a screen shot.

I say get rid of the feature, it's pointless!

I don't know why my e-mails keep getting deleted - Hotmail NEVER used to do that before. But now I'm finding personal e-mails in the deleted folder from family and friends. A few weeks back I got worried when I hadn't gotten a response from my Uncle, only to find the message had been arbitrarily deleted. Same just happened with a message from my Aunt sent Friday July 5th. How about letting ME decide what I want to delete. Rather than me finding the message, having to TELL outlook to 'stop ignoring' (why personal e-mails would be ignored is beyond me...who thought that up? Ridiculous)

It would be nice if you could organize your 'rules' alphabetically to see if you have more than one rule set up for a certain sender. For example, I get a lot of 'newsletter' type e-mails (from loyalty programs, restaurants, etc...), so I created my own folder for messages of this nature. I set up rules (or sweeps) to for these types of e-mails to go directly to that folder so my smart phone isn't 'pinging' for every new message. Only messages from actual people go to my inbox. Trouble is, I find some of these messages in my deleted folder. I so miss the old Hotmail!

Hi - with the newest upgrade, when I get 'junk mail', I click on 'phishing scam' (which I ALWAYS do). But with with the upgrade there's the option to 'report' (maybe it's always been there and I just didn't notice...it happens). So for every junk mail I suspect is a phishing scam, I then click on report, for all the good it does...I really can't say. However I noticed that in the last little while I've been getting inundated with junk e-mails in particular from "LinkedIn" saying people are looking at my profile. I can't help but wonder if 'reporting' is opening the door so to speak to spammers. I had 13 junk mails today which is a recent record. Very odd coincidence I must say, it's like every time I report a spam mail, I'm getting more in return.

So something else I've noticed that's changed with this new version of Hotmail: safe senders. So despite marking messages as 'not' spam, they keep going to my junk mail folder. For example, I get e-mails from Best Buy Reward Zone, and despite all my efforts - marking not spam, adding to my contact list...when that failed, deleting and re-adding to my contact list, AND adding to my safe sender list, yet they STILL go to my junk mail folder...UGH...The OLD (and FAR SUPERIOR imho) version used to give you the option "add to safe senders list". Now the only option, unless you copy the e-mail address and manually add to the safe sender list, is to add to your contact list, which doesn't really make sense since I'm not acquainted with anyone by the first name Best, last name Reward Zone...

Again, just my 2 cents. I think I'm up to at least a dime now...

    Cheers.
