    So this is interesting. I got an email from Microsoft Rewards in my junk mail folder. Your spam filters are so bad that they put your own emails into spam?

    I get the same spam from the same spammers every single day. Day in and day out, 365 days a year.

    Then I get email that shouldn't go to spam go to the spam folder even after I marked them as not junk over and over and over again.

    Sometimes they pop back into my spam folder a few hours or a day later. Are you kidding?

    Why oh why can't you figure out how to effectively filter spam?

    Spam went down for awhile but it's back in full force. Spammers easily get around your blockers by changing their domains; can you find another way to block? These are clearly from the same spammer:
    Please block this obnoxious spammer. This is just so far today:

    luugguantes.xyz, yoggguanntes.xyz, joggguantes.xyz, nicgguanntes, luuoportunoos.xyz, jogooportunoos.xyz, dergguanntes.xyz, yogoportunoos.xyz, deroportunoos.xyz

    The amount of spam I received went down drastically in the last few months and I thought Microsoft finally got on top of the problem.

    I was SO wrong. Maybe the spammers got COVID, and now they're back in full force.

    Yesterday and today I'm being inundated AGAIN with the SAME spammers and the SAME subjects using the SAME email formats:

    from@(different domain every time)
    info@(different domain every time)
    newsletter.(numbers or letters)@(different domain every time)
    office@(different domain every time)

    PLEASE do something about this ****. I've tried many ways to block this stuff but nothing works. But I shouldn't have to block it because it shouldn't get into my or anyone else's mail in the first place.

    This thread is over 1 1/2 years old and people are still registering the same complaints. What are you doing?

    Third time reporting this spammer, who seems newly emboldened of late. They are getting through your filters with this pattern of sender addresses, but the same tedious subject lines. This spammer was using "newsletter" to get through but that has stopped--thank you.

    You can see the (male) firstname.lastname.two letters@changedomaineverytime format.

    You know, it would be nice if you could block by subject lines. I tried blocking/filtering via keywords but your systems don't work at all. At. All.

    Please block this spammer. They keep changing the return address but it's the same sh** every time.

    While you're at it, this one too: mxahd@ggfdpwmlgsns.jamesrodrigoorders.club The address varies but always has jamesrodrigoorders in it.

    Dear Microsoft

    Seems like you managed to block the infamous "newsletter" spammer but they found a new MO to make their spam look legit. Same spam, different email address. You can see the pattern here; can you find a way to block it? Thanks

    Microsoft:

    The "newsletter" spammer in back in full force. They used to send emails like newsletter@(change domain every time).com or .whatever. Now they are sending emails with addresses like this:

    Just a sampling from today's sh**. The subject lines are the same as when it was just "newsletter@..." Please block these people once and for all.

    PS: the spam problem has improved somewhat, but still needs a lot of work as too much is still coming in. Plus a lot more non-spam comes to my junk folder now, even if I repeatedly mark it as safe. Your algorithm isn't learning. And many times email correctly comes to my inbox, but after an hour or two it mysteriously moves to junk!

    I've been following this thread for awhile now, and I didn't think the spam could get any worse. Uh, it has. WAY worse. Every few minutes more **** appears.

    The spammers now aren't even attempting to make their junk look like legit email. I don't know why it's even getting to our spam folders.

    Can you PLEASE block info@(random numbers and letters).de? Many other here have complained about this .de spammer.

    Obnoxious spammer newsletter@(change domain every time) is now using .pw as the extension. Can you please block these people once and for all?

    Constant spammer "newsletter@(change domain every time)" is now using .space as the extension. They change from .xyz to .com to .info etc.. Worst offender. Please block these people.

    Micosoft: spammer newsletter@(change domain every time) now using .space as the extension. Please find a way to block them. They change the extension about every week or so. This is the worse offender ever because it looks like a valid address and subject.

    This is a comment for Microsoft, may not be worth posting on the forum, just FYI. I and several others have commented about a relentless spammer whose emails always have newsletter@(change domain every time).

    They were using .xyz as the extension, then .com, and now it's .info. They are relentless, especially on weekends. Not sure if you somehow got after them and they just changed the extension, or if they did so on their own. They use the same few subject lines, and it is impossible to block them.

    I hope you're developing a better spam blocker, as the setup now is completely useless and you have a lot of irate customers, myself included.

    So this has been under review since August 26, 2019? Seriously, you don't know how to block spam now? It used to be fine. We are telling you the repeat offenders (for me it's newsletter@ (fill in a domain).us plus others) and still nothing is done. C'mon, it can't be that hard. Google does it.

    Microsoft, we're all frustrated here because you are not responding or acknowledging our very valid complaints. The situation gets worse each day. Are you doing anything about it? Are you not able to fix it? Is some sort of fix in the works? At least let us know what's going on. After all, I'm paying money for my email service.

    While you're continually antagonizing your customers, I'm very sure you don't want this spam flooding your servers either. Which makes me wonder why the silence.

    Just to reiterate a comment from a previous respondent today, the spammer using newsletter@(domain).icu who then changed to newsletter@(domain).xyz is now using newsletter@(domain).email. Can't you people figure out how to block these people? All they do is change the extension and they're off spamming again.

    Dear Microsoft

    I previously posted that a spammer is using newsletter@(domain).icu where the domain changes every time, so blocking is futile. Other posters have indicated the same.

    That has now stopped and they are using newsletter@(domain).xyz. Same **** different day. Please shut them down or develop a better blocker. If you need more info I'd be happy to provide.

    Microsoft, can you please at least give us a comment or indication that you're working on this? Pretty rude to ignore all these customers who have a legitimate complaint. It's the silence that irritates us.

    Here's a clue for you. My spam is all coming from the same source. They use "newsletter@domain.icu, where the domain changes with every email so they cannot be blocked by your system. But it seems the ability to block has been disabled without you telling us, either.

    Surely you're smarter than the spammers, right?

    What the heck is up with all the spam lately, Microsoft? It started a few weeks ago and it gets worse every day. It comes in with the same subject line but different domains each time, so blocking does nothing.

    Please DO something!!!!!

    I have tried every which way to apply rules to junk mail so they get deleted automatically. Absolutely nothing works. Spam is getting in with the very words I've tried to use to block them. Some have figured out a way to disable both blocking and rules, leaving us helpless. Same sh** different day, or sometimes same day.

    This stuff shouldn't be allowed in in the first place. Microsoft, surely you're smarter than the spammers. Can't you figure out a way to get rid of this nuisance? How come Google figured it out?

    Not only is spam not being blocked, but why do you make it so hard to block a domain? It takes so many steps to go to settings, then junk, then either copy and enter or search for the address. Even then most of the time I can only block one address at at time, because Save only comes up once. Finally, even after I hit Save it doesn't save.

    Looks like this issue has been posted over a year and everyone's still complaining about it.

    Below is just a small sampling of the emails from one spammer, if it helps. They change the name before the @ and the extension to .buzz and .xyz. I cannot block just the domains; they come right back to the list.

    You need a better blocking system as it's so easy for spammers to get around what you have now.

    Microsoft, can you please block domains labeltogo.ddns.net and bgreatconsulting.com? I have them on my block list but they are still getting through. They spam me multiple times every single day.

    Another one is perhaps more difficult. The domain is (random letters).jamesrodrigoorders.club. They change the first part of the domain and sender each time, but it always looks something like : euvak@hgexgprueznt.jamesrodrigoorders.club. Again, repeat offenders for a long time now.

    Just want to add my voice to those who have reported that labeltogo.ddns.net is not being blocked even though I've tried to block it several times. They are also using

    Microsoft: Since your spam blocking systems are woefully inadequate, can you at least make it easy for us to block a domain?

    It's easy to block a full address right from my mailbox, but to block just the domain I have to go to settings and manually enter the domain to block it. Thanks--

    I just discovered something that may be of interest both to users and Microsoft. Not sure you all are aware of this.

    If you go to your Settings, then Subscriptions, check your subscription list. I found a bunch of spammer addresses there and I most certainly did not subscribe to them. Never even opened them.

    Even if you don't open the emails, they seem to be able to get added to your subscription list so they will always get through.

    Users: you can unsubscribe, but don't do that as it will go back to the spammer. You also have the option to block the addresses, but of course the spammers just change the addresses, so it doesn't do much.

    Microsoft: I noticed that at the top of my subscription list there are 3 blank lines that don't show the spammers' addresses. I believe these are linked to the notorious newsletter@(change domain name every time).com or .us or .xyz that relentlessly assaults my mailbox. If I block them they just come back with the next email, as they change the domain name each time. Please figure out a way to stop this from happening. I would be happy to send a screen shot or provide more info if needed.
