   As others have said, when setting up IMAP accounts, there needs to be a way to specify the username. My mail server does not recognize the user when the @domain.gtld portion of the email address is included with the username during authentication. Why not just have a link in the advanced settings to open the Mail Setup applet from the control panel which is how I was able to workaround the issue after a few minutes of wasted time.
