This must be a relatively simple fix for you Microsoft. Why is it taking so long?!

We need more specific examples of what you’re trying to accomplish from those who have voted for this feature. Are you trying to integrate with a third party application and just need CalDav support? Or are you trying to access your calendar hosted on a different service like iCloud or Yahoo? Please comment with your specific needs.
Thank you for your continued participation in making Outlook for Mac better.

For me, it’s allowing me to view and edit (including sent meeting invites) calendars in Outlook that are hosted on services such as iCloud and Google. Essentially the same as is possible via the Calendar app on iOS and macOS.

Microsoft recently added the ability to request a Delivery and Read receipt when composing a message, but this is only available for Microsoft accounts (e.g. Office 365) so currently not supported for IMAP/POP or Google accounts. However, it is technically possible (and relatively easy) to support this for all types of account by simply adding the appropriate headers to email messages (Return-Receipt-To and Disposition-Notification-To). In fact, adding such custom headers for this purpose was supported in Microsoft Entourage (the precursor to the current Outlook for Mac). The preference would be for Microsoft to use the same UI mechanism for requesting receipts — regardless of account type — but at the very least, reinstating the option to add/edit customer headers would be an alternative.
