It really irritates me that you invested developer time working up a "feature" to suggest GIFs to insert into my email. It took me a while to figure out why some words in the mail were turning blue with out my highlighting them.
It's cute, cool, exciting, and COMPLETELY worthless to me compared to OUTLOOK retaining my SORTING preferences. And I'm going to bet there would be less development effort to implement (re-implement) the preferences. Of course, that's not NEW, NOVEL, COOL, ****, it's just USEFUL

You clearly did not understand. I am not reporting the totally annoying inability of OutLook to remember my sorting preference. although I do consider that a bug.
I am reporting the behaviour of the page refreshing and jumping to the InBox when I have an email on display.
I am in the middle of reading an email and then suddenly I am looking at the inbox. The email I was reading is not in the InBox listing in the tree to the left. Then I 'resort' the list and the email reappears in the list. I can then reopen and continue reading.
This happens to me at least daily. Windows 10 Pro and Windows 7 Ent. both with Chrome.

    Please Fix the UI.
I use Chrome 71 on Windows 10 Pro.
Outlook frequently (like more than once a day)
    1. Jumps from an email I am viewing to display the inbox
    2. returns to the default sort order
    3. the displayed inbox does not include the email I was viewing.
    4. When I resort the inbox the email re-appears in the list.

I prefer my InBox sorted by date with the oldest messages at the top and the newer messages at the bottom. I guess that means date descending but anyway it is the opposite of the default.
I use the Filter->Sort all the time and everytime the page repaints the sort order goes back to the "default" newest at the top.
Please teach Outlook to remember my preference.
