I had to take away a vote from another proposal to vote on this, even though this current behavior appears to be a bug to me. What makes Junk a more important folder than my inbox, for example?

While all other mail folders have counters that go away once their messages are in Read status, Junk Mail still uses blue text to draw your eye to what is arguably the most useless folder in your email. With only 14 current votes, unfortunately, this doesn't seem like something that would get fixed.

This really burned me last week when I thought I had everything silenced during an important meeting. But here comes Outlook, ignoring system settings to show an inappropriate at the time reminder. I have 0 votes left, but as soon as I get some back, I'm voting for this.

Btw, this thread is redundant with several other older ones, so I wish votes could be combined for all of them together.

Redundant with https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/293343-outlook-for-mac/suggestions/31363780-have-outlook-respect-the-do-not-disturb-setting-in and many others. Admins should just combine all the votes into a single issue.

It's crazy that we have to "vote" to restore a basic feature for Windows parity, and we only get 3. This should just be on the roadmap, period.

I don't see the point of Favorite Folders, and it's incredibly intrusive in the sidebar. As I hover over the folder names, now I always see the star icon that allows you to flag the folder, which hides part of the name.

And if you accidentally click that spot, your normal folders get pushed down in the list so that the Favorites can get listed first.

This feature basically took away a prime area of folder selection in the tree, where you can't click on the most convenient right-most side of each item anymore. Please give us the ability to turn this feature off completely, I don't need to have favorite folders.

This is so logical that I can't believe it's not the default.

Like other clients like Spark, Outlook needs to suggest folders to move an email to, rather than forcing you to pick from the entire list. E.g., a 10th email in a thread should probably go into the same folder where the previous 9 emails for it live.

Some similar ideas for this have been closed by MS with a template post, but the feature remains un-implemented.

This is referring to the Windows option of automatically launching the spell checker before the send. This option does not exist on Mac.

A typical workflow for me on Windows (with the option on), is to type away, not worrying about every inline redline mistake. I’m confident that when I hit Send, I’ll get a chance to quickly correct each typo before the message is sent.

On Mac, the Spell Check option is hidden away on the Options tab of the ribbon, which is not visible by default, so the process is not as easy. Even with its keyboard shortcut, it’s a manual process before send, not auto.
