Completely agreeing with everything said here. The whole Office 365 based premium option (with no other options) is overpriced, and so limited as to be a real problem. As a household, we have a number of domains (and probably adding some more) and I am seriously thinking whether we should move all of them onto another service given the frankly ridiculous limitations of the more expensive service (if you are using it just for custom domains).

We should NOT be limited to any domain registrars - the old way of setting up DNS servers worked perfectly and is like pretty much every other email service. Fair enough, offer a "simple" option to do it all through one or more providers, but please please PLEASE allow linking to any registrar/DNS hosting service!

Completely agree with this - this is stopping me using the service for some new small business accounts (maybe the plan by Microsoft?) where I don't need or want the complexity that Office 365 Essentials (or Exchange Online) bring! Given outlook.com is, from what I understand, built on Exchange, I don't see why it is not possible to use the capabilities to support custom domains that Exchange Online has (with NO limitation of the DNS servers/domain registrars).

With the enforced move to using O365 Home/Personal to get custom domains on outlook.com, you really need to get the support capability in place to support it! I have tried to get a set of questions answered about the migration, and the outlook.com support says it's down to the Office Team, and the Office team have said that its either the outlook.com team or the enterprise Business Support teams (given the custom domains). I have still to get my answers and am getting extremely frustrated and annoyed by the complete lack of support of this pretty critical process.

Outlook for Android app should have at least the same level of functionality in this area as the Windows 10 People App - allowing manual merging of contacts, with help to find them - as well as manual separation. Ideally this should be able to be sync'd between Windows and Android so that the contacts (especially when from outlook.com) look the same on both devices!

Should be optional. Also need the Contacts list in Outlook for Android to use the Company Name for sorting (and display it as primary info) if there is no person name in the contact, often the case for general company contacts - the same as in Outlook Desktop and People App on Windows 10.

Contacts on Android are frankly rubbish. Outlook app should provide full support for Exchange 365/Outlook.com contact creation and editing of all details. Should also provide similar functions to the Windows 10 People app to control the merging of contacts from multiple sources incl. Facebook. LinkedIn, Skype, Xbox Live, etc.

Completely agree- the current widgets, although fine for traditional Android users, are too busy, try to do too many things, and simply don't work well if you are using a Tile-based launcher like Square Home or Launcher 10 (amongst many offering Live-Tile style experiences).

As with many people on this and other threads (from searching for ways to do this), it is critical that the Outlook app can make ALL the calendars that you have configured in it available to the stock Android calendar, so that it will show not just the primary calendar but all of your appointments across all of your calendars. Given you are suggesting that Android is a complete replacement for Windows 10 Mobile (where this just worked), then these sorts of capabilities are critical if you want people to stay on your ecosystem.

The support for outlook.com (and Exchange) People in the Outlook app is really poor. Please provide a proper People tab with the ability to add/edit/delete contacts fully for outlook.com (and Exchange) - as well as the search and sync of these contacts to the Android contacts.

We’ll send you updates on this idea

The Outlook team is working on this update. We will add support for adding and updating events on family calendars as part of an overall improvement to shared calendars in Outlook.

We will post a subsequent status update when the shared calendar improvements are available for you to use in Outlook. Our current ETA is to begin releasing to subscription customers who are using Outlook 2016 this summer (July 2018).

What's happening with this? Last update was over a year ago and still not possible!

Still not working! Come on, we either need for this option to be fully supported or to have the ability to disable the automatically created shared calendar and use the standard sharing available in outlook.com

The new Family Calendar seems to work fine from web and mobile/UWP apps, but can't be changed/added to from Outlook 2016 even though it is picked up automatically from the outlook.com account. To make this capability actually useful for anyone using Outlook 2016, this needs to be fixed!
