When you add a Microsoft or Outlook.com account, all of the alises should be automatically available from the From menu and a default alias should be set-able in preferences.

I've been trying to figure out the deal with this for ages, and they don't communicate the problem clearly, and the support people don't already know about it. Someone who has an Office 365 subscription that he or she signed up for using an outlook.com e-mail address cannot, in fact, use Focused Inbox on macOS (and only macOS). Focused Inbox can still be used in Windows 10 (both in Mail and Outlook 365), it can be used in iOS, it can be used on Android, and it can be used on the web at Outlook.com. But it cannot be used in macOS if your Office 365 subscription used an outlook.com e-mail address to log in.

This is not just a feature request; it's obviously a bug that the Mac team needs to fix. But it's also something that all the support folk need to get an e-mail about, because it takes days if not weeks of back-and-forth to get to the bottom of it every time. It would be a better use of money to fix the bug rather than pay support people to troubleshoot this continually.
