The listing all mail order new to old or old to new used to be "given" within an email program. I almost have to wonder how Outlook chose listing oldest to newest. The vast majority of users are not reading every mail as it arrives and so in-boxes fill to various degrees. The average user is reading bottom to top along the list of un-reads, which is counter to how many languages are organized, English in this case.
So I suspect since your design team is likely one of the exceptions to allowing mail to build, and more likely to prioritize new over old, I think this basic readability option which would benefit the majority for ease of use, was overlooked.
It seems like a very easy addition, I couldn't believe it hasn't been done or suggested.
It could be the option exists within the "focused" arena, but like most new options, that is an instructional nightmare IMO.
(not a rookie either, I stopped short of binary. MS instructional is awful today)

(allowing an edit to the suggestion title at this point would be nice too.)

I want sending Notes notes to self gone period....or at least change the way it happens.
I stopped using gmail because I kept sending stuff to myself, and couldn't figure it out.
Now that you've copied their gui actions identically, I have two unintuitive email apps...oh boy!

I want this, but NOT automatically. Suggestions first please.
Automatic will be fine once devices can read minds...I don't think the tech is there yet.
I don't like the keyboard spell checks (but they are there), I'm just too spoiled by the older MS versions.
I seldom use any predictive options, even..??, no... especially, on search engines, predictions often misses my intent all together.

The changes already made to allow changing the sending address from any alias was pretty awesome.

Making it match up automatically would be perfection.

Allowing a change from the automatic match up, a bonus.

I'm far from perfect, and after a decade+ of not having to think about it, I'm still sending from the wrong addresses despite the recent improvement.
My fault for being such an idjit, but maybe you could help? ;-)

especially since ms security suggests using one of the aliases for replies. ie youre contradicting your own suggestions by not having this already

The addition of thumbnails was a good one. However they are too small to really be seen. Few people title every photo, most just leave the #s as is which makes discerning if you have selected the right photo very hard unless you can actually see the photos. The thumbnails present size still prevents doing this easily. A preview option to a larger version you can easily switch to/from doesn't seem to be present. It seems to me enlarging the thumbnails would be the easiest way to maximize the usefulness of the feature. As is, it sort of falls short of its intended purpose.
With multiple similar photos it falls flat.
Developers need to remember most app users are on little tiny devices and don't have the luxury of a full monitor like they use ;-)

One of my main issues with the toy OS of Android is the composing is awful. Mostly due to automatic changes it makes constantly. It moves words and creates gibberish, replaces words with words of no association in context, etc.
All of these settings are off, but it still happens every time I compose.
It doesn't matter what site, Outlook, G mail(only because outlooks app was so poor), "online others"...the composer does what it wants, when it wants.
It may suddenly change things not on the screen anymore(on top) or randomly "paste" things I never wrote (whole sentences, web addresses, etc)
Android points to Google, Google...well they ignore everything anybody says. But the blame goes in a never ending circle...and MS is in that circle now too, so I'm hoping MS fixes it.

I've changed keyboard apps. uninstalled, updated, bought a new device, waited for fixes, but android is android and this composer is awful...Id rather compose on a Commodore and green screen...using the controller vs a keyboard, lol.

IMO likely awful because it tries too hard to predict everything.

Prediction is killing my internet experience. The more you try to predict, the worse it gets.

Suggestions are fine! Heck Im a lousy speller. But a feature that acts on its own, regardless of settings is garbage.

From search results that aren't worth the effort, to private text exchanges; the efforts to predict are making finding/writing what I want to, a chore vs making it better. What good is spelling corrections ecti....perfect example "etci"???.... if the syntax of the message is lost. A misspelled word can be deciphered, but not lost syntax.
Personalizing in the Email arena has even led to hackers now knowing my name. (that was gmail and others too, but outlook app sending mail from the primary when received at an alias really blew my impression of MS security....worst mistake I can recall made by ANY company. {talk about too early of a software release})

One size does not fit all, and your predictive programs likely don't even want a glimpse into this Aspie head anyhow, it will only cause it confusion.
You want the mainstream thoughts, while my thoughts are far from it.

Please find a way to stop it. A new keyboard? New app? Tell Android?
I don't have a clue where the issue is; help=loops of useless info. I usually end up giving up because I cant ask "the right question".
I never could, even on the pre-release version of W1 Bill let us try on an IBM/lantastic machine before MS existed as a company....... how's that for a long time user request?

Bigger text is needed to be able to read help&suggestions, zoom doesn't function here. Grey/blue text compounds the issue.
