It isn’t acceptable that in 2020, Microsoft still doesn’t have the ability to edit/delete only future instances of a recurring event/meeting series, without affecting any past instances that have taken place but had to be adjusted and don’t fit within only the recurring series framework. Those meetings are in the past and my calendar should be able to preserve the actual meeting times and details added into individual meetings when I want to change what is going to happen in the future. Google has had this functionality for over 5 years, where if I attempt to make a change to an event in a series, it prompts me to specify if I am requesting to make a change to:
    - This event
    - This and all following events
    - All events in the series
This is something that really needs to be addressed as a simple fix to your calendar software without someone having to try and find a workaround or lose historical data.
