When viewing a conversation (threaded view), please display emails in reverse chronological order, whether viewing via Inbox or via Sent items. Also, collapse (or hide) unwanted clutter like the original email which was replied to, since that is always visible on the timeline. It will be much easier and simpler to read through a conversation that way (like a chat).

The 'rules' feature, in its current form, is poorly implemented primarily because we don't receive notifications for emails that are automatically moved to different folders based on predefined 'rules'.

The workaround I use is the 'sweep' function to automatically move mails to the appropriate folder after 10 days. This allows me to receive notifications for all emails, and after 10 days all emails are moved based on the 'sweep' function. So my Inbox mostly has only 10 days of emails, along with those for which a 'sweep'function hasn't been defined.

Given the dynamic nature of this process, should we decide to manually run a 'sweep' command to clean up the inbox and look for emails for which a 'sweep' feature doesn't currently exist, it is not possible to do so.

A 'Sweep my Inbox' feature, that when run manually, should move ALL emails (irrespective of age) for which a 'sweep' function has already been defined. This will leave the Inbox with only those emails for which a 'sweep' doesn't exist, allowing us to act on those quickly.
