I am unable to see support inbox/ another inbox

We apologize for the inconvenience. We currently don’t support the ability to open shared mailboxes or other mailboxes that you have permissions to access.
To open these mailboxes, you can access Outlook from a desktop browser (by requesting the desktop site in the browser settings) or use the Outlook mobile app that can be downloaded from the iOS and Android app store.

this function was still available until recently. There is no announcement so this should be classified as an error and should be reported to the development department for error correction "as mandatory" since this function is used by 80% of business customers. So please take care of it!

Workarounds for users:
Workaround 1.
Make a bookmark.Navigate to:
https://outlook.office.com/mail/<SharedEmail@contoso.com>Replace:
“<SharedEmail@contoso.com>“ with the shared email you want to open and make a bookmark to the page.Done.
—————
Workaround 2.
Go to desktop page.Click on the Aa on top of the page.
Press “Request desktop page”.
Press on your profile picture in top right corner.
Press on “open another mailbox”.
Search mailbox and open.Done.

Since the code would be something like:
1. Add a link to a email selector in the menu.
2. Add a e-mailadress selector from adressbook.
3. On send requests, redirect user to: https://outlook.office.com/mail/<email@contoso.com>/inboxDone and function implemented ✅
Shouldn’t be so hard to code? 🙂
Thanks in advice 😊 -

Not long ago I still could see my shared mailbox from my mobile from the browser, not anymore now.
This point myself I also raised 1 year ago and at that time there where already many inquiries about this. When can this function be facilitated, it’s part of outlook and my mailbox, now due the inability to access it not provides me the high end product and efficiency I am expecting from Microsoft!!
Access to shared folders it’s a must have for many, please sort it out!!

"use the Outlook mobile app that can be downloaded from the iOS and Android app store." would be great if that worked all the time. This however only works for mailboxes where you have full mailbox access to. Not for mailboxes where you have access to select folders, including top folders. Also dont understand the stance Microsoft takes here. It worked before but now its gone. Too bad. Thats like taking away toys from a baby.

Ok, once again: the app is useless in this regard, it does not support shared folders either. The desktop version can be requested „intuitively“ by tapping the AA in the browser text field. It is sad that your support does not seem to realize that it may require some instruction for some users to find this option at all. The desktop version is not really made to be used on mobile devices (surprise), but at least this works since MS does not seem to be able to roll back to the old version. Sad. In times like these where people are forced to work from home, a company like MS reacts by removing features that are essential to small or medium-sized companies. Thanks very much for being so considerate. Not.

Can you please add the shared mailbox back, it was working fine until last week and all of a sudden it was gone. This is not acceptable, I absolutely depend on it. If you can't/don't want to add this feature to the new version PLEASE give us the option back to toggle to the old version. Please listen to your users, this new version is useless for many of us.

THIS MUST BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY! My company hugely rely on shared mailboxes to manage communications with external parties of projects. Some of our directors need to monitor over 30+ shared mailboxes and all mailboxes are very huge that they cannot use the mobile app to open them since this will use up all of their smartphone storage space!

This new version showed up on my phone out of the blue and wiped out all of the access I had to my departments email boxes. Wtf?

I found a workaround on my iPhone 11. Tap on the aA upper right and ask for desktop version. Works for me 😃

Dear Marco, unfortunately your workaround trick doesn’t work on iPhone 😞

Your Outlook Mobile App doesn't do it either.
Massive failure by Microsoft and a disgrace

Why oh why do you ignore all assistants and people. You HAD this feature working, why delete it???!!! Especially in this Corona time I need this function the help my managers anytime and I am not on my laptop 24/7 and in the app it does not work because the app says the mailaccount does not exist while it DOES and I have all correct delegate options. Please fix this

This! During a global crisis our employees now suddenly get this change pushed through so that they can't open mailboxes they need for their jobs.
Workaround: append the shared mailbox address to the URL after /mail/. So outlook.office.com/mail/mailbox@contoso.com still works.

Please add the feature again to open shared mail accounts / folders. This is crucial to many. Please also add this feature to the mobile app as well, which I haven’t used as it does not show shared accounts / folders.
If not possible, please let users change back to the old interface, so the folders can be accessed.
