  1. have a reply and delete original message button. ALL IN ONE

90% OF THE THE time you hit reply and you want to then delete the email that you are replaying to. So have a new button called reply and delete. And have it then delete the message you are replying to.

  2. toggle signature

Add a button to quickly remove or toggle a signature from an e-mail. I want signatures on by default, but often don't want signatures when I'm sending notes to my team. In that case I want a way to quickly remove the signature.

  3. Group Notebooks + Meeting Notes

The windows version of outlook with groups has a button to access the group onenote/sharepoint. Also the windows meeting form has a sharepoint meeting notes button that would be appreciated.

  4. get the display proportions correct

Font sizing and UI sizing is all over the place. Somone needs to spend some time on getting the look proportionally correct. Right sidebar is huge compared to the other UI elements.

  5. show draft count\indicator when folder view is closed

When I create a new email and leave it in draft, I have no indicator that I have an open draft until I open the folder pane.

  6. Email Scheduling

Such an overlooked and novel idea for an email client would be the ability to schedule the sending of an email. I have only ever seen this functionality in Spark.

For example if you know that'll you'll be travelling and likely won't remember or get a chance to send someone a birthday wish, then you could type out your email and set it to send on a specific date and time.

  8. New message, meeting should be in toolbar like in web client

New message, meeting should be in toolbar like in web client (these things should really be consistent).. it's much better to put all operation in the toolbar instead of randomly splitting this one off and segregating it by itself in the blue area... took me 5-10mins to find it 🙁

  9. Do Not Disturb in Outlook for Mac

Outlook for Mac should adopt the same feature as Outlook for iOS where you can set do not disturb for email accounts (such as on weekends and weeknights, etc.)

  10. View & edit native Office files inside of Outlook

When using Outlook on the web you can click on an attachment such as Excel, Word, PDF, or an image and the file is displayed in a viewer next to the email message. It would be nice if this was done in Outlook for Mac as well. If I click on an attchement such as Excel it would open the Excel file in a native viewer in Outlook with the message beside it.

Using the same functions that are in the web version of Outlook.

  12. swipe left or right to move message into SPAM folder

Recently the option was added to swipe on a message to mark it or move it somewhere or delete it. It would be great to be able to move it into the SPAM folder directly with only one swipe...

  13. Add Unsubscribe Feature

I get tons of email that is not relevant. Marking as Spam, while emotionally gratifying, is not really an effective solution. Please add a feature to present a button that allows us to automatically unsubscribe from emails.

Barring a fully automated solution, just opening up the microscopic "unsubscribe" link in the footer of the email in our default browser would do.

  14. Give both mark as read and mark as unread option when multiple emails are selected

When selecting multiple emails with varying read/unread statuses, only one option (mark as read/mark as unread) is available.

I'd like to have both options in the context menu.

  16. Close email when moved to a folder

When an email is opened in a window and moved to a folder, it should be closed automatically like you do with Outlook for Windows.

  17. Provide 'Refresh' option just like F5 does on Windows

When your mailbox is really big using 'Unread' smart folder is a great help. But as I mark emails as read there is no way on Mac to refresh the view. This is available on Windows' Outlook version, when pressing F5 refreshes current folder. On Mac I need to switch to another folder and go back to 'Unread' to have the same effect, which is just unnecessary action for user.

    Thank you

  20. Keyboard shortcut for carbon copy and bcc

It would be great to have a keyboard shortcut for jumping to cc and bcc fields when composing e-mails. It appears like the only way to currently access those fields is to either a) pop out the compose window into a new window, OR b) click the cc button with the mouse when using the in-line compose editor. But there doesn't appear to be a way to jump to CC when using the in-line (or in-window) compose editor.
