The Check Names button or menu item is gone when creating a new email.

  2. Reduce font size in the Inbox view

The font size is too large proportionally to all other fonts in the UI.

Adjusting the existing font size setting applies globally and does not address the proportion issue, making the other UI fonts (which are great at the default size) too small.

Coupled with the inability to hide message preview text, the current size notably limits the # of items that can be viewed.

    Thanks for your consideration.

  4. Don't use "Show as Conversation" when searching for emails sent from a specific person

Don't use "Show as Conversation" when searching for emails sent from a specific person.
If "Conversation view" is used, too many results are displayed.

  5. Message view columns

Ability to add columns such as Message Size. My organisation has strict quotas so its handy to be able to delete large messages

  6. Conversation threading should be a per-folder setting

Conversation threading should be a per-folder setting, so, for example, my Inbox could have it on and my Sent Mail could have it off.

  7. funny cropping on the right hand side of the screen in full screen mode

I am on a mac, and I have had the new outlook app running everyday. if I have the app running in full screen for a while, it eventually cuts off part of the right hand side of the screen. it isn't a big deal, but i thought i would let you know.

  9. 'undo' and 'redo' buttons

I've been using the new format for a few days and am noticing the inconvenience of no longer having access to menu buttons for 'undo' and 'redo' when composing an email.

I've attempted to customise the toolbar, however, undo and redo and not among the buttons that can be added to the toolbar.

Weirdly, if I'm composing an email and then click "continue message in a separate window' icon, then the separate composing window is in the old Outlook format that has my undo and redo buttons in the top corner.

Please add 'undo' and 'redo' buttons to the new…

  10. Ensure the screen size adapts to actual screen

I love that I can see the calendar on the side of the outlook bar now however, unless you are in full screen the calendar slides off screen on my MacBook so I don't end up using the feature. Can you fix it so that the program is always the size of the screen you're using

  11. Change the background color

Change the background color of the side and top nav in the application. When the application window gets focus, the gray color kills contrast. And something about that gray makes it look like a button that can't be pressed or an option that's not available. It's the gray of a button I can't press.

  12. Respect turning off composing HTML messages

When I deselect "Compose messages in HTML by default" I expect new messages to be composed as Plain Text. Likewise, when I also deselect using the original format for replies, I expect replies to be in Plain Text. Please respect these setting from preferences.

  13. Make the difference between required and optional attendees clearer

When editing an event, the required and optional attendees are listed on two separate lines, but there is no visual indication for which line is the required attendees and which line is the optional ones. Please make this clearer in the UI.

  16. Allowing full time stamp in email list view under the Date column

"Date" column in email list view only has a time stamp for email "today". All prior days only display the date. Having the timestamp visible helps determine which email is the most current on a particular topic or refer to an email sent at a specific time of day.

  17. Copy & Paste Attachments

Copying an attachment and pasting it as an attachment in an email is available in Outlook for Windows. This feature is missing in Outlook for Mac since so long. Drag and drop is not feasible every time.

  20. Fix the text box/app auto resize when replying to an email on MacOS

When replying to an email, the response text box automatically resizes if calendar is in the side bar. This makes it too big for the screen and cuts off part of the app. To get it to fit correctly again, you must manually resize the app EVERY TIME you reply to an email to see the entire page again. This happens in fullscreen and minimized views. Please find a way to prevent the app from resizing too large for the screen.

This problem occurred on a 13" MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.15.7
