  1. move the search bar and max/min buttons into the same space as the toolbar. It takes up way too much screen real estate at present.

Please move the min/max/fullscreen, search and new outlook button into the same line as the toolbar. They take up too much space at present.

  2. Add Alias and other missing fields back to the outlook contact

The old outlook had multiple fields that the new outlook is missing. The biggest of which is the 'alias' which my company uses for their user ids.

  3. Show Add-in Buttons on Taskbar rather than under sub-menu and show in taskbar by default

Older Outlook for Mac displays add-in buttons on the taskbar, however the new Outlook for Mac instead hides these under a button labeled with the add-in name. Worse still the icon button is not visible by default in the taskbar, requiring user to access the '...' menu first. To get it into the taskbar the user has to customize the task bar manually with no way for admin to force a deployed add-in to be in the taskbar.

This reduction in visibility of the add-ins and their buttons is going to impact the uptake/usage of add-ins by users.

  5. Choose the Sync time for offline e-mail

I suggest the feature as the outlook for windows where you choose the sync time period for offline e-mail on outlook.

For example, I choose to keep sync offline for the last 6 months.

  6. Show messages from other folders

In the "new" Outlook for Mac, in conversation view, messages from the Sent folder are displayed in the conversation view. We should be given the option whether we want this (we used to be able to configure this). I'm an oddball in that I do NOT want sent messages shown. I bcc myself if I want a sent item to be in my inbox. I don't want EVERY single sent item showing in conversation view.

  8. Move sidebar icons to create a navigation similar to Teams and Office.com

When you currently minimize the left sidebar all of the icons for Mail, Calendar, People, etc are located at the bottom of the screen. I would like to ask that these be moved to the top of the screen and follow a similar design style as Microsoft Teams and Office.com.

Give the icons a slightly larger size and use a familiar navigation that Teams and Office.com use.

  9. Add custom keyboard shortcuts

The ability to customise or use other keyboard shortcut schemes (e.g. Gmail) on the web app makes it 2x faster to process email. Please bring it to the desktop app!

  10. Enable the Zoom plugin functionality while using the "new outlook"

If I revert back to the old original outlook on my mac, i have the zoom plugin button and functionality, but the "new outlook" does not. Come on, the new one is great but this is a deal breaker!

  11. Outlook notifications should not come through when do not disturb is turned on on the mac

On MacOS when "Do not disturb" is turned on, Outlook still announces new emails with an audio alert.
Outlook should obey the do not disturb setting.

  12. 'undo' and 'redo' buttons

I've been using the new format for a few days and am noticing the inconvenience of no longer having access to menu buttons for 'undo' and 'redo' when composing an email.

I've attempted to customise the toolbar, however, undo and redo and not among the buttons that can be added to the toolbar.

Weirdly, if I'm composing an email and then click "continue message in a separate window' icon, then the separate composing window is in the old Outlook format that has my undo and redo buttons in the top corner.

Please add 'undo' and 'redo' buttons to the new…

  13. A little bug when maximizing the window

Good to see the new look on Mac. There is a small bug when maximizing the window on Mac that the bottom of the Outlook is blank. It seems like due to the hidden status bar in Mac system.

  14. Use accounts in Mac system

With changing to new Outlook for Mac all added accounts (in old version) were lost - only my Microsoft account is still there. And IMAP actual not possible. I'm not amused. If possible I had to do this again.
Please: Use the accounts I added in Mac system. Mail, Calendar and so on. One central place for maintenance

  15. Add dual full screen app support back

In the previous/"old" Outlook I was able to run Microsoft Teams and Outlook with the apps as side-by-side full screen apps in Mac OS. When running in the "old" outlook format, I could do this. In the new Outlook, I can only have this one app in full screen mode. Never had another app act like this before

  16. Out of office with appointment/meeting autoreply

If on my calendar I create an out of office appointment, outlook should also be able to recognize that and automatically engage the "out of office reply" mechanism based on an enable/disabled settings.

  17. Add option to hide Archive, Outbox and Saved Searches

  18. Make the new outlook play nice in portrait mode

I have 2 24" monitors at 1920x1080. One is rotated in portrait mode and I like to keep outlook on that display. The new outlook keeps resizing off screen
