The lack of this feature is a show stopper. Why would Microsoft ever take a back step in a "new" version. So many complaints on line about the lack of this absolute must feature. Surly it can't be too hard to add it? Come on Microsoft!
Using this new outlook without being able to search emails, and having them appear in date order, makes the new outlook very difficult to use. This should be self evident - when you look for an email, you are most often looking for a recent email!
At least for me, I don't even see the date on some of the emails that are found. The date column shows some of the emails' dates but all of the emails' folders. Further, you can't customize what fields are shown, whether in search or normal view.
Cannot sort search results by date ascending. Please add a feature to sort search results.
I have a saved search for isread:false that I use to read all of my unread email.
I want to read my unread messages in order from oldest to newest.
I cannot sort the search results by date ascending, so I’m stuck with reading my unread messages in newest to oldest order.
I could scroll down to the bottom and go through the results starting at the bottom and going up, but threaded messages are still grouped together, and when I select the thread, the newest message is selected by default.
I find reading the newest message in a thread before I read previous messages very confusing.
Please add a feature to sort search results that supports sorting by date ascending.
