Use native contacts on macOS
The recent update enabled contacts however they are exactly the same as always, I still cannot access my apple contacts from within Outlook which means there is no way to store my iPhone and Outlook contacts in one place (I sync these across from iOS too)
I can't imagine this is the first time this has been raised - I don't understand why Microsoft doesn't devote some effort to making Office more Mac-native. They seem to be moving in that direction design-wise, but the lack of integration with pretty basic OS-level features years later is head-scratching.

It is very frustrating to hear this - as it is using the old Outlook. Outlook for Mac should support iCloud services - or at the very least sync with the contacts stored natively on the Mac.
Totally agree! It could also be easier to edit contact information without opening another window, only by doing it directly at the contact list as it is for PC.

We should be able to save contacts to Mac OS contacts as well!

Yes, please. Not being able to access my local contacts is a tremendous pain. This should always have been standard or at least give us the choice.
