Compose mail in main window should be an option in Preferences.
I know I can tap in open in new window, but having to press it everytime is tedious and prone to mistakes
THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!!
Let me decide what i want.
I miss this feature of the old outlook, and also have a MILLION DRAFTS from clicking out of the window or tabbing to another app!

i dont understand this "this is how it works now, get used to it" mentality. theres a button right there to pop out the window. why not just code in an option to do that for every message. I love the rest of the look, search, ect, but ive used separate windows for AGES. Its the MAIN reason I use outlook over the Gmail web interface my company wants me to use that I convinced them to let me continue to use outlook because of this exact feature (working on multiple emails at once).

The behavior when working on multiple messages is not clear- sometimes the first compose message disappears, sometimes its there when you pop out the second one. For a home user, sure its fine, but for a business user where we usually need to work on multiple messages just give us a preference in Composing settings to "Always compose in a new window". Also, if an inline compose had a distinct color border to highlight it would be helpful- its not immediately obvious with out review the window that it is a compose versus a received mail-this should be highlighted.

I dont like that in the new outlook, the Gmail account has the reply in the same window as the read. the entire reason Ive kept outlook (my office wants me to use the web interface gmail) is that I can compose and see my response in seperate windows. I can compose and read new incoming emails and not 'lose' my composition.

Have the option of creating message/events etc in a new window. The new window should have similar tool bar icons as that of the new design as well.

As a user, I would like the option to select how new mail messages are composed so that I can set it to open to a new window instead of embedded. The "My Day" feature is great, but I have a narrow width monitor (due to being in Portrait), so when it composes a new message, it widens the window and pushes part of it off the screen.
