Add Skype integration. Where did it go?
Skype integration into the meeting creation tab was one-click and easy to do.

This is the answer I got. Will have to wait I guess. My company is targeting end of 2021 for Teams
Skype for Business is not currently support in New Outlook as in New Outlook REST (REpresentational State Transfer)meetings are supported only but Skype for Business uses EWS (Exchange Web Services) protocol for connection, however, the New Outlook interface is improving on the go and your feedback is very important, and as such, we encourage you to cast your vote on the post below and monitor for status updates on this feature:
To use this feature, we kindly recommend switching to the Classic Outlook interface via the top right toggle. For more information over New Outlook, please refer to this link - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/the-new-outlook-for-mac-6283be54-e74d-434e-babb-b70cefc77439

For the last several weeks I've been working with support on solving this because in a previous thread (see my previous comment) Skype support is said to be included in New Outlook. However, like many of you, I was not getting the option to add a Skype meeting to my invite.
This is what we learned:
There are two types of Skype for Business integration:
1) REST calendar syncing
2) EWS calendar syncingYou can determine which one you have by how the Skype Meeting details are added to your invite in Old Outlook:
When you select the Skype Meeting button in your invite and the meeting details are immediately added to the body of the email you have #2 above (EWS). If the Skype Meeting details are not added to the body of the invite immediately but are added after you send the invite you have #1 above (REST).
All that said, New Outlook only supports REST integration, where you select to add a Skype Meeting and the meeting details are added to the invite after send.
So, the request needs to be to add support for Skype for Business with EWS calendar sync integration. The support agent I worked with indicated he would share all the research with engineers, but was unable to comment if this was on the roadmap.

Per the below thread, New Outlook is supposed to have Skype Meeting capabilities. I've been working with the support team for the past few weeks to troubleshoot why the Skype Meeting option isn't available for me in New Outlook.

LOVE the new Outlook for Mac, but my company uses Skype for Business pretty heavily, and I have to switch back to the old Outlook to set up a meeting properly.

Continue Skype for Business integration. Our company hasn't made the switch to Microsoft Teams yet so we still need the ability to create new Skype meeting invites within outlook.
