Give both mark as read and mark as unread option when multiple emails are selected
When selecting multiple emails with varying read/unread statuses, only one option (mark as read/mark as unread) is available.
I'd like to have both options in the context menu.

I agree as well, or always show both, just disable the one not applicable if all selected messages have the same state. Additionally, this should also happen with the CMD+T keyboard shortcut. It *used* to toggle back and forth regardless of the state of the selected messages. However, in the latest preview, it only considers the state of the actively selected message.
I personally like to mark all messages as read before deleting them, so that I don't have an unread count next to the "Trash" folder

Agreed! I find this very annoying that when selecting multiple messages of varying status I cannot mark them all as read
I often get several emails that I want to mark as read and then archive. I'll click the top one and then shift-click the group I want to mark as read. Once I click the second email, all emails are correctly selected but the first one I clicked gets marked as read, which then makes it impossible to mark the entire selcetion as read. I have to mark as unread and then I can mark as read.
