I don't want to spend time marking emails as unread, but i use my inbox as task management. Having the item count in my inbox was critical. Please bring that function back. Until then I will have to go back to old outlook. thank you!

I want to keep track of the number of e-mails in my inbox. This is a HUGE functionality issue for me, as my inbox can get very big and I need to monitor how big it is -- so I can go in and clean things out.

I"m not using the New Outlook simply because I can't see the total number of emails (read and unread) in my inbox. I need it to manage the size of my inbox and, with that, my to does. Please bring it back.

I also spent hours looking for the setting that would allow me to turn the count on. Please bring this feature back!

What is the latest version that has the status bar at the bottom? Thanks in advance. EcologyCop.

All this time I thought I was too dumb to figure out how to turn it on again. I'm a "365" member, and get updates automatically from MS. I guessed that I somehow turned it off. Today, for whatever reason, I decided to research what I might have done wrong. Thankful that I found this thread. TOTALLY SUCKS that it's gone! HOW HARD CAN IT BE to put this back? 5,000 features that I don't or can't use, but this handy little bit of info has to be eliminated? Jeeze.

The item count was very useful. I am enjoying the new Outlook but really miss that item count.

This is a really important feature that needs to come back for it to actually function accurately

Please bring back the total number of items in the selected folder. The count appears in far left bottom ("Items: 83" for example) and counts the number of emails in the selected folder - not just the unread. I have switched back to the old version until this corrected.

Please bring back - I always check to see if I'm connected to my email account (right hand side of Status Bar) - a very quick way to see that you are/aren't connected to your Exchange server or if the MFA connection has failed in the background. Meantime you have dozens of emails you're unaware of!

Piling on for this. No clue how this isn't an option to add a status bar or view bar like PC Outlook at the bottom of the window. Outlook is non-functional for people who work to clear the inbox if you don't know how many emails there are to deal with.

Impossible to work without it!
Do not understand how you can even imagine to take it away.
Switching to mail and abandoning outlook forever -

Please bring back the info in the status bar or AT Least remove that ugly big and grey useless bar when in Full screen mode. Thanks

I am happy to have to click once or twice to access this data but I need to know how many emails are sitting in my inbox. This is a crucial feature for me. I can't use the new outlook until it's back.

This is a dealbreaker for me. Count is a key leading metric that helps me manage my workload. I depend on it. Please bring it back!
