Left Sidebar configurable smaller width
On New Outlook view, the Left Sidebar width has a minimum size that enables to view the full name of all the elements. That's using too many horizontal space, only for one or two folders that I already know.
I'd like to be able to reduce the Left Sidebar width in order to not "loosing" too many horizontal space.
I know I can fully colapse it, but then I cannot see the folders...148 votes -

smaller font size
Fonts need to be smaller . compared to MAC mail the mail list is huge. it looks very old school when compared to newer mail clients . looks terrible on high resolution screens . Can we have ability to reduce font of application and lists further still

Bring feature parity between Outlook for Mac and Windows
So far New Outlook is looking like a skinned version of the current version. This is absolutely not what business users want or need. We need the features that Outlook for Windows has, to be productive in our jobs. This is very frustrating.

Launch local ToDo app if it's there
If you have the local ToDo app it should launch when you click on new ToDo rather than just taking you to the WebUI.

Match the window size to screen.
When the Agenda/ My Day tab is open, replying to an email somehow forces the window to expand past the edge of the screen and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust this in the settings.

Implement Quick Steps
The Windows version has Quick Steps, which I rely on to quickly process my emails. It would be great to have them in Outlook for Mac.

Allow import and export of PST files
Add support for importing and exporting PST files to the new Outlook for Mac so that it's easy to move data to/from PCs.

Add Full OneNote Integration
I thought Addins (https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/924856-the-new-outlook-for-mac/suggestions/38972491-support-for-o365-add-ins) were going to do this, but I don't see an option in the customize toolbar for OneNote integration. I would like to be able to send both emails and meeting notes from outlook to Onenote like I can in both the iOS and the Outlook for Mac products!

funny cropping on the right hand side of the screen in full screen mode
I am on a mac, and I have had the new outlook app running everyday. if I have the app running in full screen for a while, it eventually cuts off part of the right hand side of the screen. it isn't a big deal, but i thought i would let you know.

Make Profiles Work as Before
I'm told by your support teams that Profiles no longer work as they did before. I have two Office 365 Exchange accounts in different tenancies, and it seems impossible to have two profiles anymore. Accounts added to one profile bleed into the next and switching between profiles just duplicates the downloading of data into two separate profile folders. I would like Profiles to work as they did before so you can swap between them.

KQL search
Need easy KQL search help guide and saved searches of the same. This to more easily allow AND/OR/NOT and other more complex email searches along with the ability to save them. The older Mac client allows extensive use of "Smart Folders" and use of "raw query" utilizing Mac's spotlight search syntax.

Let users hide the search bar
It would be nice to be able to hide the search bar at the top. It wastes a lot of space on the screen, and I don't use it all that frequently. A show/hide option would be great, and a keybind to search something when it is hidden would be even better!

Improve the performance of the new Outlook for Mac
What the Microsoft team has done with the new Outlook for Mac is really good. However, while it is good I have noticed there are some performance areas that could be improved. They fall into two areas.
1) Window movement and resizing - When you move or resize a native Apple app such as Mail, Safari, or apps like Numbers and Pages the animation is very fluid and smooth. In the new Outlook it is much better than other Microsoft apps, however it is still jerky and not smooth. It would be good to really work on the smaller details…
