Spam/junk email showing up in Inbox
Why can’t you have a more efficient spam filter? When I get 10 emails saying the same dumb **** which is obviously spam, can’t I just block certain words? Or better yet, can’t you block emails even coming through to my spam folder/inbox which are obviously spam? I don’t need them, and I’m probably not alone...
We are sorry about the spam mail you’ve been receiving. We are looking into improving the filtering.

I feel like I've wasted years of reporting spam. I've reported hundreds, maybe thousands of spam emails and have seen no reduction. I've also tried using the Hotmail filter to block emails with words like "casino" to no avail. Just now I tried to vote on this thread, was sent an email and told to close the tab that logged me into Uservoice and was then not given the option to vote! I've had Hotmail since the days of Windows 95 and things like this have always happened.

There has been a considerable and significant uptick in phishing emails. I know admins can’t be responsible for stolen email addresses from other sites but for goodness sake after a month or more of reporting a daily handful of THE SAME phishing emails at least put them in the junk box.

I have been reporting emails as 'Phishing' from the same addresses for months but have still being bombarded with them. What's the point of reporting?

What's the function of the "spambox" folder? I place emails from Junk Mail there, hoping those senders will be directed to the spam box in the future instead of to the junk mail folder, but they aren't. It seems to function the same - and, therefore, uselessly- as the junk mail folder. (I'm not just complaining: if I'm missing something, I'd like to know.)

I am receiving up to 20 spam emails daily and some are vile! How can outlook/Hotmail not have better filters on junk mail? And Reporting and Phishing options don't do a thing.

As many of everyone here, I received a junk email to contact someone to mrsyuansonia01@gmail.com even I don't know nothing about her?? but the weirdest thing is the sender: it's the italian police (dcaffarigeneralips@interno.it) even if I never went to Italy?? I'm from Korea btw. And it was in inbox.

Microsoft's junk filter is worthless. It's amazing that a company with the kind of technical capabilities of Microsoft cannot get a halfway decent junk filter. For months I've been finding legitimate emails in my junk mail folder. Marking them as NOT JUNK accomplishes nothing. I should not have to add all those addresses by hand to some sort of "do not block" list. The system should be smart enough to do that for me when I indicate an email is NOT JUNK. Meanwhile, actual junk email makes it into my inbox. And once again, marking an email as junk accomplishes nothing. The next time that same email arrives, it goes right into my inbox. It's like Microsoft is trying to destroy its reputation.

Phishing and spam emails are out of control. I’m being continually bombarded with emails about bit coin or from x rated sites. They turn up flagged in my inbox despite marking them as junk. Emails I want to receive are sent to my junk email. It’s very frustrating. I’ve had my email address for a long time and don’t want to change it but if this carries on them I will be leaving outlook

I want to block nuisance emails. I am getting a lot of emails from gambling and *** sites. The *** sites are disgusting and completely unsolicited!
In have never ever given my email address to them and I want to block them so they cannot contact me again! -

It's really crazy howbad the outlook.com spam filter is.
I like your service and want really want to keep it over gmail, but if it keeps to be that way any longer I might have to make the switch for this sole reason.
