From email address when sending email
When composing an email in outlook.com beta the "from" field isn't visible. Therefore it is not possible to send an email from an alias or other sub outlook.com email address. It is possible to do this in the standard/non beta version. Please add to beta.

I have this same problem - and it's making hotmail unusable for me. I've had it since 2000, and I'm now looking at other email services. Such a bummer.

It's completely ridiculous that this small issue hasn't been fixed. Really annoying.

As with everyone else here, I use 2 different aliases through my email and the fact that I can no longer choose the from address on my phone makes this email essentially unusable for me via mobile.

The mobile version of outlook no longer has the option to select the FROM e mail address eg name@hotmail.com (rather than the default name@outlook.com). PLEASE change this.

While writing a letter, it would be a good idea to change the sender's identity.

There is no option on mobile to check what email I am replying with and it sends through as the default instead of my work Alias.

I use Outlook via Chrome on my Android phone, in preference to the app which has some issues for me.
I use all 10 aliases. Or I did until the latest update. Now, I can no longer select which alias to use when composing or forwarding an email. It uses the default alias which is one I never share.
Effectively, I can no longer use Outlook to send messages, only to read. I can use the PC when at home but this will be a big problem when I travel.

The new mobile version doesnt allow me to change the address from which I'm sending the mail! I've made several mistakes when sending mails out in the past day, which is a major issue. Also once the feature is reinstalled, I feel like the primary address should be the default when writing a new mail/answering a thread that uses the primary address!

This is a big oversight that needs correcting. Enabling the "New Outlook" option also stops the From field working in the Outlook app. You can select your alias from the drop down in the app, send the email, but the email is always sent from the primary email address and not the alias you selected.
