Can't Send: Cant send or reply messages

I hate the upgrade! I can't send a message without sending an attachments. I just want to send a message not an attachment. I can't get any work done. If this can't get fix I'm going to have to delete this account I have been having for over 20years

There are secretly two states that an email address in the To field can be in. The one that happens if you just type it and then tap away into the subject field, versus the one that happens if you hit enter within the To field. The former state is incredibly frustrating because it lets you compose a whole email but you're not able to send it because the send button is mysteriously grayed out with no indication of what is wrong. The latter state causes the email address in the to field to be highlighted in a blue rounded rectangle and enables the send button. The former state should not exist. I could not figure out for two minutes what I needed to do to be able to send my message, and I tried many wrong ideas in the process such as filling out a subject field which had previously been blank, on the wild guess that maybe Outlook requires subjects. At a minimum there needs to be an indication of what is wrong to explain why the send button is grayed out.

Yeah it is a valid email address but the paper airplane is still grayed out. Really frustrating.

You need to have valid recipients, which are shown as blue pills. Press Enter in To/Cc line to resolve them. Once that's done, you should see send button enabled.

I just set up an email for my oldest and tried to send an email and the arrow button won’t work and I can’t send an email
