Hello. I have a serious complaint about the design of your "Your account has been temporarily suspended" - "Your account has been locked" page!
I've had a horrible experience trying to log in to one of my Microsoft accounts.
I have a couple of them.
And thank God for that.
Today, I wanted to log in with my icloud.com id.
I started on my iPhone in Safari.
I typed in my icloud.com email but I had forgotten my password.
So I was sent an email to my address and received a password reset code.
So I typed in a really secure new password from passwordsgenerator.net and was just about to log in using that password.
But I was denied and there was an error message about Microsoft detecting suspicious activity on my account(?!) and I was asked to try logging in again.
Why didn't it complain about the new password that I typed in if it was so difficult to comprehend?
I suspect that the new password contained some symbols that it didn't like because it failed for a second time and I was told that my account had been temporarily suspended and had been locked and I was asked to enter my phone number to receive an sms with an unlocking code.
But I didn't receive any sms.
Then I discovered that I had typed the last digit wrong.
So I typed the right number.
But this time, the "Submit" button to send the sms was greyed out (but that didn't matter - I'll get to that).
There was no error message or hint about what to do, however.
Then I went through a hellish circle of closing tabs and closing Safari, deleting the website data for live.com, trying to login from Chrome as well, picking a different password etc, over and over.
But I just kept getting taken to that pesky "Your account has been temporarily suspended" - "Your account has been locked" page. And on that page, the only option is to enter my phone number but the "Submit" button to send the sms was greyed out every time.
Finally, the fifth time that I was taken to the "Your account has been temporarily suspended" - "Your account has been locked" page, I noticed that there's an unnoticeable and unseemly "Send code" link just below the telephone number line(!)
It turned out, the "Submit" button wasn't at all used for sending the code by sms, it's used for submitting it once received!
I must have used the "Send code" link the first time without thinking about it - I didn't notice the greyed out "Submit" button until next time, when I was tired and stressed out.
This is a really stupid page! There should be much more obvious and distinguishable links / buttons for sending the code by sms and for submitting it once received, respectively.

I am trying to access my other outlook account and it won't let me because it's saying there's suspicious activity on my account because I forgot my password... But I remembered it, and I put in the password and now it's saying I'm locked out of the account and I don't have the same cellphone number so I tried to do it the other way and I did everything it said but it says I didn't answer the questions good enough so it won't give me the code but I don't use it to send emails or anything like that it's just for my Microsoft account for my PlayStation account so I can't answer any of those questions... But I need to get into my Microsoft account so I can get into my PlayStation Network account. So I would much appreciate it if you could help me or make it easier to access my account. I have all the account info password and name

Hi I am new to Outlook . Just now I logged In . I expected a lot from the outlook. Since the first and foremost reason for my new account is this account is more safe when compared to others like Gmail and it can't be mail tracked . So I took my interest to log In . Since this is unbreakable I thought of having an exclusive video call provision which can be connected to hangouts since in my place the internet provided by my institution blocks the hangouts,skype and other calling facilities and only mails can be used. And I have an doubt that whether it is trackable by my institution since they are using the Sophos to block many sites and track the mails send by us. And I also wish to have it as more social than being more professional. Will it be working even in the meager internet speed?
