I have experienced a wild increase in junk mail in my inbox, and the stuff I have marked as not junk still goes to junk. I think I’ll be leaving my 16 year old hotmail account soon
We are very sorry for the increase in spam messages that you received over the last few days. We’ve made some fixes and the spam filters should be working normally now. Not just inbox. The focused inbox. And they’re automatically flagged too.
My inbox is inundated with obvious spam. I can’t locate any options to further restrict the settings.

This has been an ongoing issue for YEARS. It seems that is identified if horribly out of date, even with my settings as strict as can be.
When I was looking on how to stop spam and junk mail, Outlook help said DO NOT OPEN the email because the senders have some sort of image tracker that lets them know the email was opened. BUT THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT AS JUNK OR PHISHING IS TO OPEN THE EMAIL!!
So not helpful.
We need a way to make junk and phish without opening the email.
So, after talking to support, I woke up this morning with only a few junk emails in my inbox. It's been about 5 or so hours and I haven't gotten any new spam in my inbox. It looks to have been resolved. I'd hate to see anyone close there accounts especially if they've had them as long as I've had mine so if anyone else has seen changes let it be known!

I've been having this problem for 2 days now. It's ridiculous. Fix it!
As of two days ago I’m getting about 60 junk mail a day to my inbox!!!!
And messages from my saved contacts are going to my junk. Wtf?!?!

Getting spam glitch temporarily fixed is one thing but actually have a spam filter that works is another. Legitimate emails getting caught by filter despite having added to safe senders and rules. Outlook has the worst spam filter. I would like to have no spam at all. I get like 100 spam emails daily. That’s a ridiculous amount. Microsoft should do better!

i had close to 200 this morning. I have spent last 90 min adding my contacts to safe senders list. it is getting to the point I don't even WANT to open email!

I’m not sure if I missed something here but I’m not seeing any settings for junk mail filtering? I don’t see a safe senders list or a blocked senders list any other settings to govern how E-Mail is formatted besides the message list. I believe you should add those controls back or if They are available you should put them somewherethey are available you should put them somewhere they're more accessible because I can’t find them.

I have received an incre6 or spam messages from ????@labeltogo.ddns.net (and any other email that finish with ddns.net. At once, it would go to my spam but now it goes to my inbox and I want it to stop because I never contacted them. I think I will be leaving my email because it's going out of control.

I have a ton of junk email coming into my inbox starting two nights ago. Without any changes to the settings or anything along those lines. I’ve tried everything to get it under control. Safe senders lists, exclusively blocking everybody but non contacts, all of that stuff. I tried it all and it’s not working.
I had to remove Outlook and live mail from my iPad and my iPhone. When I see that Microsoft has applied a fix on the back end then I’ll consider going back to live mail but until that time I’ll be directing all users to send email to my Gmail inbox.
I also am experiencing tons of junk mail in my inbox and junk folders. Please fix this issue.
Why is it so hard for Outlook to figure out that I don’t want emails for prostate cures, or hot Asians, or Russian brides, or medical marijuana, or ED treatment, etc., etc. It shouldn’t be difficult to filter out those sorts of garbage. I’m giving it another week before I shut down my Outlook account for good. What a pain!

I have been receiving a lot of junk mail into my inbox, please help me. Right know is crazy that every 30 minutes I have like 129 new messages and all of them are spam, I do not know why they don’t go into my junk mail

My inbox is set to exclusive known email address only.
However the junk and wierd emails are coming in my inbox
Please fix this as i get false notifications all day.
