  1. Search box

I wish the "search" box above inbox on left hand menu was still there in new version. I used it all the time.

First off, Thanks for taking sometime to try the new experience and for providing feedback.

You mention that things feel a bit too cluttered on a laptop.

Can you try disabling these two settings and see if it feels better.

Click the Gear in the top right, and then disable Sender Photos and Attachment Previews.

    Hope this helps!

First off, Thanks for taking time to provide some feedback and for trying the new Outlook on the web experience!

I just wanted to let you know that you are able to disable two options that I think might address some of your feedback.

Click on the gear in the top right, and then disable the Sender Photos and Attachment Previews.

This will help reduce some of the colors, and reduce some of the preview pictures that are shown.

    Hope this helps!

  4. Less is more

The new inbox style with attachments is a little too busy for me. I believe less is more in this case! Thanks

  8. Settings - reversed order in New version

Settings in new version: Too much focus on design features, color etc … ..whereas it has become more difficult to find mail setting like Automatic replies - you have to click "View all Outlook settings" in old version - functionality is placed easy to see

First off, thank you for taking time to provide feedback and for trying out the new experience.

The new order of the settings is based on the large amount of feedback we have gotten in the past, as well as what settings people interact with the most.

One of the things that we did add was the ability to quickly search in the quick settings pane to find what you want. For example, searching for Out of Office will bring it front and center.

    Hope this helps!

  9. Change it back now

Things are too complicated in the email. I don't care about aesthetics, just show me my inbox. Thanks.

First off, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and to try out the new experience.

I wanted to offer a suggestion to see if it helps with the busy feel.

If you click on the gear in the top right try turning off Sender Photos and Attachment Previews.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback! I just wanted to follow-up quickly with you to let you know that Email Search is still in the new Experience.

If you look at the top center of the screen you will see a search box. From there you can search for all of your mail like the old experience.

    Hope this helps!

  14. Too MUCH Info!!!

There is simply too much information for each message.

This is a great setup for a tablet or phone, but on a computer, I'd like a refined experience. In the NEW Outlook, I don't want to see previews of the attachments and each message in your mail could be trimmed down.

For those with a ton of mail, like myself, this clogged view can really get annoying after scrolling and scrolling to search for a particular message in our folders.

First off I just want to personally thank you for taking time to try the new Outlook on the Web experience, as well as providing feedback.

I did want to write and let you know that you are actually able to turn off some of the new features that might be adding to the feeling of being more cluttered/more information showing.

I would recommending trying to turn off Attachment Previews and Sender Photos. If you click on the gear in the top right, you can toggle both of them to off.

    Hope this helps!

  15. make the level of "noisiness" adjustable.

New Outlook on web is too "noisy." Some people may like it, though I found it way too distracting. Allow people to have more control over the look and feel, but keep access to the better search and other functionality.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback. I wanted to reach out and see what features you felt were adding to the noisiness.

We actually have some settings in place to turn off some of the newer features. This includes the Circles that have the initials or photos, as well as the Attachment previews.

If you click on the gear in the top right hand corner, toggle off Sender Photos and Attachment Previews. Let me know what you think and if it helps

    thanks

    David Los

  16. Attachments on side bar

I don't like that the attachments show up on the side bar, it makes it look very scattered and unorganised.

Thank you for the feedback, and for trying Outlook on the Web.

I just wanted to let you know that there are two options to turn off those two features you mentioned.

    1) Click on the Gear in the top right
    2) Toggle off both the Sender Photos and Attachment previews.

This should turn off both of those features you mentioned.

    Hope this helps

  17. VIEWING MAILS

The list of mails displayed is confusing as the attachments are cover the mails which makes difficult to identify the mails. This was better in the older version.

Thank you for taking time to try out the new experience as well as providing feedback!

I also just wanted to let you know that you are actually able to hide the folder pane.

If you click the three lines that are next to the new mail icon, the folder pane will collapse.

    Hope this helps! Thanks

Thank you for your feedback. You can change the proofing language by:
    1) Select the "Editor: button in the compose ribbon at the bottom of your message.
    2) Select “Proofing language”.
