If there is already an exchange account where the option "request read receipts" is checked by default, this option should be also used in Outlook on the web.

Need to have a way to disable read receipts for my messages I send.
Need a way to disable sending a read receipt for any message I read. This is more important for team work as some users use this as a gotcha or a "Why did you not read my email?" or "Why did you not respond to my email faster?" office game to cause poor teammate relations.

We need the option to ask for read receipt in email sent from outlook.live.com.
I've been using my microsoft email account since 2002.
Today, I need to sent a very important email and I need a read receipt on it.
Since, there is no option, what do I do?Am I suppose to move to gmail?!
Send the email from my work even though it is a personal email and lose it from history after I get a new job and lose access to mail I've sent from my old job?
Pay 60$ to get outlook software for windows and use it only once before uninstall....None of the alternative are good.
The best one seem to move to gmail.... -

It would be great if the read mails settings from Ootw on PC browser would be synced with the mobile Ootw. Because the e-mail read settings does not sync with when we use Ootw on mobile devices.

When a GSuite user sends you a read receipt. Even if you have send read receipts disabled, they will still get a read receipt. Please correct this error.

The desktop version has the option to default all new email to have a read receipt. It would be great if the online version had the same setting.

Its really unhelpful when i don't know if and when someone read one of my emails i sent to them. I would be great that after they read my email, it could say "[name] has read your email at [Day/Month/Year], [Time: eg. 4:25 pm]

Request "Delivery and Read Receipts" feature in Web mail.
Because e-mails are legally used as an evidence before courts, for equity balance, all parties must be having a same level of proof instruments.
In particular, any individual formally interacting with Institutions or Businesses need such feature as one fair way to juridically argue.
The right to have this feature must be seen as a fundamental compliance within the law system. The client version and/or its communication technology cannot be oposed as a valid circumstance or as counter-argument to justify the lack of such functionality, under whatever pretext. The Web version must be therefore, offered as fully part of the outlook.live.com messaging service.Additionally, as individuals suffer less recourse power than organizations in general, it is specifically vital to rectify here the balance in favor of individuals using low cost to free subscription.

I've used the "request a read receipt" option for years to make sure important emails are getting seen by the people who need to review the information. Suddenly, the option stopped sending a confirmation. I tried a test message to make sure it was going through -- it looks like the email is suddenly asking the reader to confirm whether they want to send a receipt back. The message is VERY small, so it's barely noticeable (and I probably only saw it because I was actively checking for errors), and it's also pretty ridiculous to expect the person receiving the email to go to an extra step to confirm the receipt. It also means that none of them are bothering to confirm the receipt on the half dozen messages I've sent out in the past week or so. I do actually need these confirmations for records keeping purposes -- I don't know why they would ask for the email recipient to go to an extra step which most people clearly wouldn't bother with -- and that's IF they even notice the barely visible message asking them to confirm the email. I don't understand why this isn't an automatic feature. I really need these confirmations to come through on the emails I use them on -- they worked just fine before, so I don't know why the alteration was made.

It is, in today's world unbelievable that this option is unavailable. I need to ensure critical business emails are read and I used to be able to request Read Receipt on any email. Now impossible. Please add back in! Very important in business!

I sent an email and in Show Message options I check the boxes for Request a delivery notification and a Read receipt, I did not receive anything. I did this 5 times and still nothing happened. What can I do to receive my Receipts?
